1TB Maxtor Shared Storage II

Seagate launches its new 1TB Maxtor Shared Storage II. It allows up to 20 connected Mac or Windows PCs to send and receive data to and from the two 7,200 RPM 500GB hard drives. This 1TB hard drive can store approx. 768,000 high resolution photos, or 72 hours of DV video, or 16,600 hours of music. The hard drive uses a high-speed Gigabit Ethernet connection and two built in USB ports to connect to the printer or other devices for sharing among multiple users. You can just plug it in, connect the Ethernet cable, and the Maxtor Shared Storage II automatically configures to your network. Within minutes you can set up the Maxtor Shared Storage II to appear as a local hard drive on every configured PC and Mac on the network. The device measures 5.4 Inches x 3.9 Inches x 8.5 Inches and weights 6lbs.
