Priced at US$1,617, LG’s 37-inch 37LB1DB provides 1366 x 768 native resolution, XD Engine picture processor, 1600:1 contrast ratio, 500cd/m2 brightness, PC-input, and dual HDMI ports. TrustedReviews has a review of this LCD TV. Here is the verdict:
If it were up to us, every last TV programme broadcast would be in high definition, and every home would have a Blu-ray/HD DVD player and/or an Xbox 360. But sadly it’s not up to us, and the world’s got a long way to go yet before standard definition is a thing of the past. So while we admire the LG 37LB1DB’s ultra-affordable high definition talents (and stunning design) immensely, its troubles with standard definition currently make it impossible for us to give it an unreserved recommendation.

This electric car is touted as the world’s first ‘energy-autonomous’ vehicle. The “Venturi Electric Car” is limited edition since only 200-units available worldwide. Slated for release in 2009, the car is equipped with a solar panel and a wind turbine so it can get power from the elements. The car also has a plug for recharging from an outlet, which I predict any owner will be using a lot, as the panel and turbine combined give you only something like 14 miles a day.
