The device is water resistant up to 200 meters, vibration proof due to the rubber molded collar shielding, and is pre-loaded with a 256-bit AES encryption security application. The Flash Survivor offers a sustained read/write performance of 34MB/s and 28MB/s respectively, which is nearly 500% faster than standard USB flash drives. The 4GB version retails for $59.99, while the 8GB model retails for $129.99.

Diamond Aircraft showed off DA50 which is the company’s new light aircraft during AERO 2007 in Germany. The aircraft is powered by ‘Teledyne Continental TSIOF – 550J’ engine. The DA50 is expected to be available in January of next year. The pricing info is still unknown.

According to NotebookReview, Sony will release 15.4-inch, 13.3-inch and 11.1-inch widescreen VAIO FZ, VAIO SZ5 and VAIO TZ series in July this year. The widescreen 14-inch VAIO CR laptop and 13.3-inch widescreen VAIO CZ are also rumored to come out at the same time. The VAIO FZ series will feature Intel’s next generation “Santa Rosa†platform and the new Core 2 Duo “Merom†processors, a 2GB of RAM, and up to 200GB hard drive. Sony VAIO SZ5 series will feature current Core 2 Duos, 2GB of RAM and up to 200GB HDD, while the ultra-portable Sony VAIO TZ laptops will be powered by Core 2 Duo ultra-low voltage CPUs. These notebooks will have an integrated webcam.
