
Pentax introduced its new DSLR camera in tribute to its original film camera back in 1957 when its known as Asahi Optical Joint Stock Co. Dubbed as the AP50, the camera is “designed with vintage touch with its pyramid chassis for the pentaprism viewfinder.” The company will be displaying the Pentax AP50 at its Tokyo headquarters until the end of July. Samsung has announced the SCH-C220 a.k.a. Anycall Mini skirt phone for the Korean market. The handset will be available in white, garnet red, and sapphire blue. Measuring at just 10.9mm thick, the cell phone also has a reflective mirror type coating design and a touch pad on the front LCD screen. The C220 has built in GPS for viewing real time traffic information (only in Korea). Other specs include a 2MP camera, MP3 player, Bluetooth and an electronic dictionary. No word on pricing so far.

Samsung has recently rolled out the YP-E3 digital audio player in China. The gadget is a flash-based USB stick DAP that comes with 1GB storage and an OLED screen that can display four lines of text in two colors. Other features include FM radio and Samsung’s DNSe sound enhancement technology. Its lithium-ion battery offers 11 hours of continuous playback. Measuring 2.8inch x 0.91inch x 0.47inch, the Samsung YP-E3 will be available in black and white versions.

Sanyo Japan has introduced the Sanyo Xacti CA65 compact camcorder. The CA65 is housed in a waterproof casing and can record VGA (640 X 480 pixels) videos in 30 frames per second. The camcorder comes equipped with a sensor of 6MP for still images which can further go ahead to 10MP by interpolation (3680 X 2760 pixels). A mode 16/9 is even available into 3,8MP (2816 X 1584 pixels). Other specs include 5x optical zoom, 12x digital zoom and 1600 ISO in manual mode. Pricing info is still unknown.

PSP has announced its new firmware number 3.50. Using this firmware update, your Sony PSP will be able to access your Sony Playstation 3 and access videos, music and pictures through a WiFi connection. The wireless PSP access to PS3 is only limited to viewing and listening of content. In addition, the RSS menu will also be far more user-friendly on this new firmware update with the introduction of the RSS Channel Guide. You can download the new 3.50 firmware right here.

The MVP-808 is a slim mini PMP that offers 2.8-inch LTPS LCD is a clear 960 x 240 pixels. Measuring at just 80mm × 61mm × 17.5mm, this gadget is similar in size as the Cowon D2. The MVP-808 plays WMV, DIVX, MPEG4, MP3, WMA, OGG, AC3, VCD, DVD and JPG. It also has 2GB of internal storage with SD/MMC memory extension and a USB port for PC sync. No word on pricing so far.
