The Samsung G800 phone is equipped with a 5MP camera featuring an auto-focusing lens and supports 5.8 – 17.4 mm focus length, and 3x optical zoom. It’s not clear whether this camera phone is a slider or keypad-less phone. However, you can expect it come with built in Bluetooth and USB connectivity, 3G or HSDPA connection.

Chiba Institute of Technology Japan has developed the Halluc II, which is a mobile robot with eight wheels. The robot has 4 joints for each wheel for easy movement and is loaded with a camera, 13 distance sensors, two lasers for obstacle detection, one goniometer for wheel control and three axial controllers. Powering all this is an AMD Geode processor at 800 Mhz combined with Linux OS. The robot can transform to the plain wheel mode, animal mode and insect mode. This 7.2MP Fashion camera has 3x optical zoom, 2.5inch LCD screen, slideshow mode, face detection technology with auto red eye removal, IR beaming, and a blogging mode which lets you post pictures to blogs, websites, auctions, or e-mail with ease by copying and automatically resizing any image you’ve captured right in the camera. The digicam captures video in 320×240 resolution, or takes photos at up to 1600 ISO. Available in Wave Blue, Wasabi Green, Hot Pink, Sunset Orange, and Midnight Black, the FinePix Z10fd has dual shot mode for back to back shots (with and without flash). In addition, its Li-on battery is good for 200 shots.

It looks like the Canon PowerShot A450 and the Canon Coolpix L12 have some new competitors. Fujifilm has announced two new entry-level shooters. The first is the Finepix A920, sporting a 9MP CCD, 4x zoom and a 2.7-inch screen and retails for $199.95. The Finepix F480 has similar specs to the Finepix A920 except it comes with a smaller 8MP CCD sensor and is 0.4-inches thinner. The Finepix F480 is priced at $179.95.

NuVo has rolled out NuVoDock for Apple iPod, which is a dedicated Apple iPod Dock for use with the company’s Grand Concerto Whole House Audio System. Available in wired and wireless versions, the NuVoDock offers complete iPod control from the Grand Concerto Control Pad, and sports a 150-foot transmit radius (wireless version), frequency hopping technology to allow uninterrupted audio reproduction, and the ability to charge the Apple iPod while it’s docked. The NuvoDock wireless and wired versions retail for $649 and $349 respectively.
