GM Daewoo G2X Roadster

GM Daewoo rolled out the G2X Roadster, its 2-passenger open car, in the Korea market. The car is powered by 1,998cc 4-cylinder Ecotec engine with 264 horsepower and 5-speed transmission. Equipped with twin-scroll turbocharger, the G2X Roadster can accelerate from 0 to 100km in 5.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 227km/hour. This sport car also features Monsoon audio system with 7 speakers, 6-disk CD changer and sports bucket seat. For your info, the name G2X was derived from abbreviation of “Go 2 eXtreme”. Priced at approx. $47,000 , the G2X Roadster is available on September, 1st 2007.

Fujitsu Unveils Two New Laptops At IFA 2007

Fujitsu Siemens announced two new laptops at IFA 2007, which are specially designed for video telephony, chat, digital films and MP3 sound files. The first one is the 15.4-inch AMILO Xi 2428 that is powered by Intel Centrino Duo processor technology with an Intel Core 2 Duo processor up to T7700, NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GS graphics with 256MB dedicated Video RAM, 2MB of memory, 250GB of storage, integrated camera, loudspeakers, microphone and a wide range of connectivity, including HDMI, three USB ports and a five-in-one card reader. Meanwhile, the 17-inch AMILO Xi 2528 comes with Intel Centrino Duo and an Intel Core 2 Duo processors, NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GS graphics, 2GB memory, an option of two RAID hard disks, integrated camera, loudspeakers with subwoofer and microphone. Available this Christmas, the 2428 will go for $1,400 and the 2528 will retail for $2,900.

The Philip’s DVB-T Player sports a 10.2-Inch screen, more than enough to view the big game on along with an analog tuner and external antenna. It also features a seven-day Electronic Program guide for picking shows carefully. The program guide also allows you to play files off SD cards. Unfortunately the battery life is only 2.5 hours,so if you’re thinking about watching an all-day marathon, think again. No word on pricing or availability yet.

Philips Releases New Power4Life Range

Philips announced a new range of power solutions at the IFA 2007 in Berlin designed to remove battery life limitations and give maximum extended enjoyment from portable electronic devices. Known as the Power2Charge and Power2Go, these USB chargers offer up to 60 hours of back-up power from a single charge, allowing portable electronic devices to be powered-up from anywhere in the world without the need of a power outlet. The LED light indicator in the front tells you how much juice is left. There are also six connector tips to hook up all your gadgets. Philips’ new Power4Life range will be available in Europe this December. However, there is no word on when these gadgets will come to the States.

Toshiba TDP-EW25 And TDP-EX20 DLP Projectors

Toshiba unveiled two new DLP projectors. The TDP-EW25 offers you a WXGA (1280 x 800) resolution, 2600 lumen, and a 2000:1 contrast ratio image, while the TDP-EX20 provides you all the same specs, but with a reduced resolution XGA (1024 x 768), and 2300 lumen picture. The TDP-EW25 boasts a 1.2 meter throw distance, while the TDP-EX20 features 1.5 meter throw distance. The TDP-EW25 will be available in Japan on October 25th for about $3,900, while the TDP-EX20 will retail for around $3,400 when it goes on sale September 20th.

Philips iWAC3500D Streamium Home Stereo

The Philips WAC3500D is the firm’s latest Streamium home stereo, which adopts an 80GB internal hard drive, iPod connectivity, and a USB port. Additionally, the device sports the ability to receive, play, and store MP3 or WMA files saved on a PC, rip CDs to the HDD in a variety of bitrates, and view ID3 tags on the backlit LCD screen. What’s more, its built-in Class D digital amplifier drives the dual two-ways speakers. The Philips WAC3500D is currently available in Europe for $522.
