It features an aluminium basket for light weight and great strength, a double stitched Glafibe surround, dual 4 ohm or single voice coils XQ or QS Subwoofer. TG Sambo will be dropping their D-TMB PMP in Korea. It features a 4.8-inch WVGA touchscreen, built-in WiFi for some supposedly full-fledged web browsing, 16MB of flash memory, and Windows CE 5.0 for an OS. No word on pricing yet. [SlashGear]
Verbatim is releasing the 500GB 2.5-inch SmartDisk HDD. It features three 166GB platters, perpendicular magnetic recording at 5400RPM. Get yours this Summer for under $300. [Engadget]
Netgear is dropping the new 6-bay ReadyNAS Pro models including the 6TB RNDP6610, 3TB RNDP6310, and 1.5TB RNDP6350. The device offers up to 6TB of HDD space with an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 1GB of DDR2 RAM (up to 4GB supported), 128MB of embedded flash for the OS, a pair of gigabit Ethernet ports, three USB 2.0 sockets and support for RAID 0/1/5/6 and Auto-Expandable X-RAID2. Samsung will be debuting the U940 or the Glyde phone at Verizon. The Glyde features a 2-megapixel camera, HSDPA of 7.6Mbps, a “drag and drop” touch interface, a 2.8 inch color display, VibeTonz technology, and a full QWERTY keyboard. Sharp will be upgrading their RD-CX310 device with a 30GB hard drive, DivX support with the usual audio / video formats, 82 dictionaries, 20 audiobooks, an FM tuner, and a voice recorder, and a 4.3-inch display like the previous model. No word on pricing or availability, but it is said that it should be a bit over the $500 price for the original device. [Akihabara]
The new Philips MCD299 flat micro theater provides four-disc changer for continuous music and DVD movie playback. The player also features a motorized sliding door, metallic buttons, a 140-watt digital amplifier and a bass-centric subwoofer.
