
HP has announced the availability of its Pavilion dv3500t 13.3 inch notebook in the US. Weighing at 4.12 pound, the desktop replacement features an Intel Core 2 Duo processor and NVIDIA GeForce 9300M GS 512MB video card with a maximum of 8GB RAM, 400GB hard drive, DVD burner. Its 13.3 inch LCD screen offers 1,280 x 800 display resolution with an optional LED backlight. Other cool specs include fingerprint reader, 802.11n wireless connectivity, ExpressCard slot and 5-in-1 memory card reader. Apparently Nintendo is about to announce their next-gen Nintendo DS console. According to MCV‘s sources in Japan, Satoru Iwata will make a press release at 9pm PST tomorrow. Not sure what time that is in Japan but this is exciting news. We learned very little details about the new console except that it will sport MP3 playing and some camera functions. [Gizmodo via the Video Games Blog]

Here is a spanking new eco-friendly gadget concept in the form of the Solar Prometeo. The device comes equipped with the Photovoltaic cells on the top of it that collects the solar energy and store it for later use to power up your exhausted gadgets via USB ports. There is an indicator lamp that will alert you when the device lost all its energy and needs to juice up under bright sunlight. The cool factor of the Solar Prometeo is that it is a wearable gadget so you can wear this gadget on your neck or arm to collect the solar energy. KDDI shows off the latest Samsung-made 3.1 inch OLED display at CEATEC 2008. The display is able to produce up to 800 x 480 resolution, which supports DVD resolution video. Unfortunately, the screen is only a prototype at this time. I am sure we will find this bright OLED display on the mobile phones in the near future. [Electronista]

This robotic reptile is actually a remote controlled firefighting machine. Dubbed as the Anna Konda, the fire extinguisher robot is strong enough to walk through debris to put off fire. The internal water delivery system also keeps the device chilled. Microsoft has decided to release the new Gears of War 2 Special-edition Zune PMP on November 7th, 2008. The gadget comes pre-loaded with 244 pieces of “Gears of War” media including the soundtrack, concept art, behind-the-scenes videos, etc. The gadget is priced at $280, with pre-orders at Walmart.com and Amazon.com starting tonight. This special edition Zune 120 also features a laser-etched “Crimson Omen” onto a glossy black casing. [Engadget]
