DoubleSight Displays has rolled out a new series of Smart USB monitors which include the 7-Inch DS-70U, 9-Inch DS-90U and 9-inch DS-90UC. The DS-70U offers a native resolution of 800 x 600 pixels, 30ms response time, 375 cd/m2 brightness and 350:1 contrast ratio. Followed by the DS-90U which provides a native resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels, 30ms response time, 200 cd/m2 brightness and 300:1 contrast ratio. And finally the DS-90UC that features the exact same specs found in DS-90U model but with a detachable webcam. In addition, these monitors also support landscape and portrait viewing modes and are compatible with both PC and Mac. The DS-70U, DS-90U and DS-90UC are priced at $119, $139, $159, respectively. Pioneer BDR-205 - The World's First 12x Blu-ray Writer

Pioneer has just unveiled the world’s first 12x Blu-ray writer for desktop computers called the BDR-205. The drive features a 4MB cache memory, a SATA connection interface and provides 12x write speeds for Blu-ray Disc media, 16x for DVD and 40x for CD media. LG has added a new cell phone to their range by releasing the LG GD510. The phone comes jam packed with a 3-inch WQVGA touchscreen display with a resolution of 240 x 400, a 3-megapixel camera, and a 8GB of storage space to store your captured pictures or videos. Additional features include a brushed aluminum case, and an optional solar panel that will replace the battery cover and can be used to charge the phone’s battery. Belkin 'For The Cure' iPod Touch Cases

One of the most popular charitable causes for companies to donate money to is cancer research. Belkin has recently released a couple of iPod touch cases that are being sold and part of the proceeds will be given to help find a cure for breast cancer. The DualFit and Grip will be available for purchase in mid-October 2009 for $29.99 each. Belkin will give $2.50 of each sale to cancer research with a minimum donation of $100,000. C-motech Snapdragon-powered Mangrove MID

Korea-based C-motech has shown off a new Mobile Internet Device (MID) namely the Mangrove. Unlike conventional MIDs, the gadget is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and Windows Mobile 6.5 OS. For your info, the Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU is usually used in smartphones including the Toshiba TG01 or Acer’s Android-based A1. The Mangrove MID also features a bunch of goodies that include a 7-inch touchscreen display, two USB 2.0 ports, a Micro SD card slot, Wi-Fi connectivity, and even WiMAX. Here is a leaked video of the Microsoft Courier Tablet that was announced by the company last week. The video provides an overview of the interface and Courier’s features, and more of how you would actually use it if you are not a designer. The heart of Courier appears to what’s called the “infinite journal,” which means a journal/scrapbook that is endless. ZOTAC has once again expanded its award-winning ION ITX series of motherboards by announcing the ION ITX-F Series. This new mini-ITX board is equipped with a 1.6GHz Intel Atom 330 dual-core CPU, a NVIDIA ION graphics processor, two DDR2 memory slots, a PCI-Express x16 slot for discrete graphics and 802.11n/g/b WiFi. Sanyo has announced two new super bright portable projectors to its range by releasing the LP-XM150 and LP-XM100. Designed specifically for large conference rooms or lecture halls, these projectors provides a native resolution of 1204 x 768 pixels, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 6000 ANSI lumens brightness (LP-XM150), 5000 ANSI lumens brightness (LP-XM100), a 7W mono speaker and several connectivity ports including Ethernet, S-video, DVI-D, D-Sub and USB. The LP-XM150 and LP-XM100 will be released in turn beginning on November 20th for 942,900 Yen (about $10,505) and 837,900 Yen (about $9,334), respectively. [Press Release]
