The system is equipped with a 21.5-inch 1920 x 1080 multitouch display, a 2.93GHz Intel Core 2 Duo E7500 processor, an Intel G31 Express chipset, a 1GB GeForce GT 220 graphics card, a 4GB RAM, a 500GB HDD, a DVD burner and runs on Windows 7 Home Premium 32bit OS. Panasonic and Sanyo have partnered to create a Lithium-ion battery that would be powerful enough to store enough energy to run a household for a week. They will launch this device in 2011. This lithium-ion battery will be better than the existing fuel cells which are considered as efficient power storage for home use. JVC comes back with an updated version of their wooden canal earphones in the form of the HP-FX700. These earphones provide better audio quality at 104dB/1mW from 6Hz – 26,000Hz at 16 Ohms. Weighing at 7.5 grams, the JVC HP-FX700 will be released in February 2010. [Akihabara]

Vodafone today announced that the iPhone will be available on its network in the UK from January 14, 2010. Vodafone UK pricing for the iPhone is similar with Orange and O2 who already sell the iPhone in the UK. The cheapest contract available is £30($47) a month (on a 24 month contract). The iPhone 3G 8GB, iPhone 3GS 16GB and iPhone 3GS 32GB are priced at £59($94), £149($238) and £239($382), respectively. The £30 per month tariff provides 300 minutes, unlimited text messages, unlimited WiFi. Customers will also be able to use up to 1GB data on one of the UK’s largest Wi-Fi networks, BT Openzone, providing high-speed internet access at premium locations across the UK. InnoDisk is back with its new line of PCIe SSDs, the Matador. Coming in capacities ranging from 128GB to 2TB, these 3.5-inch SSDs feature a PCIe x8 interface, an onboard RAID controller and provide read/write speeds of up to 800/600 MB/s.
