
Designed by Neil Poulton, the latest edition of LaCie Internet Space 2 is basically a network hard drive that provides the possibility to access the drive’s content remotely from anywhere by logging on to www.homelacie.com. The device boasts a 1TB of storage capacity and supports both UPnP and DLNA. Each purchase of the drive comes with the DesktopMirror software, which automatically backups and synchronizes the data on your computer. The LaCie Internet Space 2 is priced at around $269 a pop. The U-301 is the latest dual-mode USB modem from C-motech that supports both 3G technology CDMA and 4G technology WiMax 2.0. This lightweight modem uses a 65nm Qualcomm QSC6085 chipset for CDMA and a 65nm Beceem BCSM250 chipset for WiMax. The U-301 provides maximum download/upload speeds of up to 10/4 MB/s from WiMax or 3.1/1.8 MB/s from CDMA. The device also supports Windows 7, Vista and XP operating systems. Available in black, blue, pink, white, the capless Elecom MF-LSU2 is now available in 16GB model. Meanwhile, the Elecom MF-STU2 comes with a 16GB (white) or a 32GB (black) of storage capacity.
Elecom also released the Elecom MF-AU2B, which is now available in 32GB (black) model. All of these USB Flash drives adopt the PASS (Password Authentication Security System) + AES 256bit and support both Windows and Mac platforms. Too bad, there is no info on pricing at this time. Read more

Bell Canada has started selling the MiFi 2372 Intelligent Mobile Hotspot from Novatel Wireless. This battery powered device uses Bell’s new HSPA network and provides simultaneously WiFi connectivity for up to five devices/users located within 30 feet. The device is also compatible with Windows, Mac and Linux operating systems, and offers download speeds of up to 7.2 Mbps.
