Mio has added a new Mobile Internet Device (MID) to its range by announcing the Moov V780. Measuring 204mm x 111mm x 14.35mm and weighing 445g, the device features a 7-inch 800 x 480 capacitive touchscreen display, a 600MHz processor, a 512MB RAM, an optional 4GB or 8GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot, an music/video player, 720p HD video playback support, a digital TV tuner, a web browser, email support, GPS, WiFi, an HDMI output, an optional 3G or WiMAX connectivity and runs on Windows CE 6.0 OS. Thecus has recently announced a new NAS device called the N4200 with 6D technology. The device is powered by a 1.66GHz Intel D510 dual-core processor with a 1GB of RAM. The Thecus N4200 also adopts the dual DOM technology offering two copies of the software needed to operate the NAS device inside the unit in case one gets corrupted. There is also a couple of displays located on the unit, where one LCD display shows system information, while the other 2.8-inch OLED display shows settings of the device like WAN, LAN, and more. Using this NAS, you will be able to mix both 2.5-inch and 3.5-inch hard drives, where the system can be configured with two RAID modes simultaneously. Thecus also uses a battery backup module inside the NAS device that allows data to finish writing to the drives inside in the event power goes out during a write or firmware update. [Slashgear]
ASUS is set to showcase their latest nettop PC ‘Eee Box EB1501U’ at CeBIT 2010, which is basically the successor to its Eee Box EB1501. Specs-wise, this space-saving adopts a 1.6GHz Intel Atom dual-core 330 processor, a NVIDIA ION chipset, an integrated GeForce 9400M graphics card, up to 4GB RAM, up to 320GB hard drive, a dual-layer DVD burner, a 5-in-1 card reader, WiFi, an HDMI output, two USB 3.0 ports, six USB 2.0 ports, an eSATA port, a VGA port and is pre-loaded with Windows 7 Home Premium OS. Sony has finally created a series of headsets that are specially designed for VOIP users, gamers, and music lovers. The new Sony DR-350USB is Sony’s new high-end USB PC headset. Available in black, gold, or red, it has a 30mm driver unit in the headset, a built-in microphone, and a detachable “voice tube”. There is also the microphone muting feature, which is perfect for gamers.
Available in gold, blue, red, and black, the Sony DR-320DPV (pictured above) is supposedly aimed towards PC gamers and music lovers, and has basically the same features as the DR-350USB. However, this model only has a volume control and no mute function.
Designed for girls, the Sony DR-310DPV is available in several soft colors such as Pink, White, Silver and Green. It comes equipped with a microphone and a separate volume control and mute buttons. Gigabyte has officially announced their first AMD 890GX-based motherboard namely the GA-890GPA-UD3H. This new motherboard supports AM3 processors and features a 890GX / SB850 chip combo, four DDR3-1866+ memory slots, a 128MB of SidePort DDR3 memory, an integrated Radeon HD 4290 graphics card, two PCI-Express x16 slots for CrossFirex or Hybrid CrossFire configurations and a 7.1 channel audio.
