As some others have had problems with their webcams with previous Acer laptops, not quite the same problems, but no software has yet to came out for this, or as far as i can find. can anyone help ?

Just bought the 6930. Great alround laptop with one major problem. The Blue Ray drive doesn’t play films!!!!!!! The software on the laptop Deluxe Arcade is meant to play them. You run the programme for the first time it updates then you can’t watch any blue ray films….Tragic…. Come on ACER don’t let yourselves down. Anybody got any ideas on how to solve this…

Cheers

I also recently bought the Acer Aspire 6930. I’m having problems with the crystal eye webcam. I’m able to take pictures but not videos. How can I make it so that I can take videos?

Brian January 1, 2009 at 11:45 pm

Well I have recently purchased the Acer Aspire 6930 and I can take pictures but I can’t make videos with it. Plus once I open Crystal Eye and close it, it stays running!! I have been on msn and when I try and go on web cam it will not turn and the message says that it is running on another program. I am not a very happy camper right now! Please help me fix this problem so I don’t have to return this laptop and go to a different company to buy a different one.

Hey I’m also having some problems with my Blue Ray player, it will play some Blue Ray movies, but these other two movies I have they won’t work. One in paticular will play the previews and it will get to the title screen fine, but when I hit play movie, the screen just stays black. Anybody else encounter this?

Nick June 6, 2009 at 1:08 pm

I have the 8930G but after a week stop to work. Blank screen and no HD activity.
In a research at forums I saw many people having the same problem.
One thing I wanted to avoid was the contact with ACER service, let’s hope that at least them they will try to do something.
I will think twice to buy another product of acer

I juin the INF.”st purchased an Acer Aspire 8930. I am having an issue with the Epson Perfection 3170 scanner. The computer sees the device and I have downloaded the latest drivers from Epson but, the scanner still fails to work. When I try to call up the Epson software and start ascan, I get an error message that says it can not find the device. So, I tried to uninstall and reinstall the device drivers, I gert a new error message “The required line was not found in the INF.” Can anyone help me with this?
