Alcatel has launched a new 4G LTE-enabled Android 5.1 smartphone ‘X1’ in India. Featuring a slim 6.99mm anodized aluminum frame, this mid-range smartphone has a 5.0-inch 1280 x 720 HD AMOLED display with Dragontail Glass protection and Gorilla Glass protection on the back, an octa-core Snapdragon 615 (4x 1.4GHz + 4x 1.0GHz) 64-bit processor, an Adreno 405 GPU, a 2GB RAM and a 16GB of expandable internal storage (up to 128GB).

Coming with dual SIM card slots, the handset sports a 5MP front-facing camera with 1.4 um pixel size and f/2.0 aperture, a 13MP autofocus rear-facing camera with 5P lens, f/2.2 aperture and dual-tone LED flash, Alcatel’s Eye-D unlock system and HiFi audio with Cirrus logic & Arkamys tech.

Powered by a 2150mAh battery, the X1 provides 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS for connectivity, and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS. The Alcatel X1 is available now for Rs. 15,999 (about $147). [Product Page]
