AMD has recently released a new line of SATA 6.0 Gbps SSDs, the Radeon R3. Coming in four different storage capacities: 120GB, 240GB, 480GB and 960GB, these slim 2.5-inch SSDs (7mm thick) are built with TLC NAND Flash memory chips, a SATA 6.0 Gbps interface and a Silicon Motion SM2256KX controller.
Performance-wise, the Radeon R3 SSDs promise to deliver read and write speeds of up to 520MB/s and 360MB/s (120GB model), 520MB/s and 470MB/s (240GB model), 520MB/s and 470MB/s (480GB model) and 510MB/s and 450MB/s (960GB model), respectively.
The AMD Radeon R3 SSDs are available now in the US via Amazon for $40.99 (120GB model), $69.99 (240GB model) and $136.99 (480GB model), respectively. [Product Page]
