
AMP Inc. has introduced a new line of SLC-based SSDs namely the SATAsfaction. Available in 32GB, 64GB, 128GB and 256GB sizes, these 2.5-inch drives are equipped with SLC (single-level cell) NAND Flash memory chips, a SATA 3.0 Gbps interface, a 32/64MB of buffer memory, built-in ECC and EDC, and Native Command Queing (NCQ) support. In terms of performance, they deliver maximum read and write speeds of 260MB/s and 150MB/s, respectively. Sadly, there’s no info on pricing so far. [Softpedia]
