
NEC has rolled out another eco-friendly LCD monitor for the mass market in the form of the MultiSync EA222WMe. This new 22-inch LED-backlit LCD monitor is compliant with Energy Star 5.0, TCO 5.0 and EPEAT Gold, and consumes 52% less power compared to regular panels. The monitor also radiates up to 61% less heat and all of its cables are built with zero mercury, halogen and arsenic. In terms of performance, the EA222WMe provides a native resolution of 1680 x 1050 pixels, 16:10 aspect ratio, 30,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, 250 cd/m2 brightness and has USB, D-Sub, DVI and DisplayPort connectors. The NEC MultiSync EA222WMe will arrive in stores this month for $339. [SlashGear]
