Having recently seen the samsung B8000 which also uses LED’s instead of CCFL backlights i was most impressed by the image quality and the sleek design, i cant wait to see the new toshiba to see how the image compares whilst only being a 3rd of the depth of the samsung!
With all the benefits that seem to come from using LEDs i definately think they are the way forward for LCD televisions!
Good to see that JVC are jumping on the LED bandwagon, but a release date of October/November is surely going to put them a huge distance behind Samsung, Sony and Sharp (even if they are only LED backlit LCD TVs)? The specification isn’t that great either – even the most basic Samsung LED TVs have four HDMI ports. Will be interesting to see how the JVC fares up.
On June 21, 2008 i purchased a 32 inch JVC and on July 19, 2008 the television was not working. I only had a year warranty and it seem a little unfair that this would happen less than one month later. What could I do about this problem?

Contact the supplier of your TV (the shop you bought it from), and see if they’ll do a repair or replace. There may have been a fault with the particular batch of TVs yours is from, or the model itself, which the store should be able to inform you about (or check on JVC’s website).
Wow not sure about the HUGE strip at the bottom of the screen. I’d prefer invisible speakers or at least something smaller than this. Really don’t like the design on this set, which I think is a huge factor in what people buy.
Thanks a lot for the information. This television has an amazing design.
