Toshiba Korea announced Portege R500, its 12.1-inch all-in-one notebook PC, which is using 20grams lightweight motherboard with dual-sided component mounting. To reduce the size of the motherboard, the company utilized its proprietary High Density Mounting Technology process. The Toshiba Portege R500 features 7mm DVD Super Multi drive, and Intel Ultra Low Voltage CPU, which enables its battery to run up to 12.5 hours. The laptop retails for $2,700.
