Scotland has just unveiled its first supercar “Falen”. It features constructed of carbon fiber and with a hinged greenhouse like a jet fighter. Currently a digital prototype, it will sport a 800 horsepower, 5.5-litre V10 Judd engine. The prototype is expected to debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March of 2009, and only four will be built. Ronn Motors from Texas have developed this hybrid supercar, the Scorpion. The car is claimed to be the “first commercial vehicle with a system built-in that produces hydrogen on demand.” During normal operation, hydrogen would be mixed with petrol for improved gas mileage. Without the hydrogen injection system, the Scorpion reaches 27 mpg; with it, it tops out at 40 mpg. For an eco-car capable of 200 mph that goes 0-60 in 3.5 seconds.
