Give your laptop a boost with the new Notebook Expansion Dock from Belkin. You will have to sacrifice your ExpressCard port by hooking up the Expansion Dock to it, but what you get in return is quadruple your available bandwidth, enabling you to play DVDs without detrimental bandwidth performance to other USB 2.0 devices. This expansion dock features high-resolution - DVD-quality video output through VGA or DVI ports, 5.1 surround-sound supports through optical or 3.5mm outputs, five USB 2.0 ports including 2 top-load USB ports for easy access by thumb drives, 10/100Mbps Ethernet access for instant connection to multiple external devices, compatible with all notebooks equipped with an ExpressCard port, compatible with Windows Vista and XP, and works seamlessly with Windows Vista and XP operating systems, as well as with most DVD-player software. It was designed with the smallest footprint possible, coming in a unique vertical design. Performance figures include connecting at 2Gbps which is capable of video reproduction at 1600 x 1200 resolutions in 32-bit color. The US$199.99 Notebook Expansion Dock will ship in U.S. this November, with the rest of the world receiving it shortly thereafter. More pics after the jump!
