
BenQ has officially announced the nReader K60 e-book reader during Computex Taipei 2010. Measuring 175mm x 122mm x 11mm and weighting at 220 grams, the gadget has a 6-inch touchscreen e-paper display that uses SiPix Microcup technology to produce a native resolution of 800 x 600 pixels with 167 dots-per-inch and 16 grey scales. The nReader K60 also provides a 2GB of storage space, which is enough to hold around 4000 books and a microSD card slot (up to 16GB) for more storage space. Additional features include WiFi, a mini USB port, a USB 2.0 port and a 3.5mm audio jack. The device supports a wide range of file formats including ePub, PDF, TXT, HTML, JPEG, BMP, GIF, PNG, and MP3. Its battery provides up to two weeks of standby time. [AVING]
