BQ To Launch Aquaris E5 HD Ubuntu Edition Smartphone

Spanish phone maker BQ is about to launch their latest Ubuntu smartphone called the Aquaris E5 HD Ubuntu Edition. Specs-wise, this mid-range smartphone is packed with a 5.0-inch 1280 x 720 HD IPS display, a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek Cortex-A7 processor, a 1GB RAM and a 16GB of internal storage.

Coming with dual SIM card slots, the handset sports a 5MP front-facing camera with BSI sensor and a 13MP rear-facing camera with BSI sensor, dual LED flash and 1080p Full HD video recording. Running on Ubuntu operating system, the Aquaris E5 HD Ubuntu Edition provides 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n and GPS for connectivity.

The BQ Aquaris E5 HD Ubuntu Edition will become available throughout the EU in mid-June for 199.90 Euro (about $223) Unlocked. [GSMArena]
