Buffalo Releases New 3TB USB 3.0 External HDD

by Johan on January 21, 2011

Buffalo Technology today launched a new 3TB external hard disk drive that supports the USB 3.0 interface. Dubbed as the HD-LBV3.0TU3, the device draws its power from an external DC power supply. The storage device normally draws 18W of power, but can reduce to just 1.6W, using the bundled ecoManager software, which spins down the drive when idling. Measuring 39mm x 123mm x 189mm and weighing approx. 1Kg, the Buffalo HD-LBV3.0TU3 will be launched later this month for 26,400 Yen or around $320. [techPowerUp]
