Buffalo To Launch A New Line Of USB 3.1 Gen.1 Portable SSDs ‘SSD-PLU3’

Buffalo is gearing up to launch their newest line of USB 3.1 Gen.1 portable SSDs, the SSD-PLU3. Available in three different storage capacities: 120GB, 240GB and 480GB, these pocket-friendly SSDs come with a slim enclosure (11.5mm thick) and a micro-USB 3.1 Gen.1 connection interface, and support for Windows 10, 8.1, 7 and Mac OS X 10.10 or later operating systems.

In addition, you can download ‘SecureLock Mobile 2’ and ‘Disk Formatter 2’ software for free. Performance-wise, the SSD-PLU3 portable SSDs can deliver high speed file transfer of about 340MB/s when reading and 320MB/s when writing.

The Buffalo SSD-PLU3 portable SSDs will hit the market from mid-May for around $135 (120GB model), $198 (240GB model) and $349 (480GB model), respectively. [Product Page]
