Buffalo’s New Dual-Band WiFi Router With Beamforming Technology

Here’s a look at another upcoming dual-band WiFi router from Buffalo, the WSR-1166DHP2. Utilizing the beamforming technology for improving your WiFi reception and reducing interference (the router determines where your device is located and projects a stronger signal in that specific direction), this new 802.11ac home router is configured with 1x Internet LAN port and 4x LAN ports, and supports for dual-band WiFi access point (2.4GHz – 300Mbps and 5GHz – 866Mbps).

Furthermore, the WSR-1166DHP2 provides security through encryption using WPA2-PSK (AES), WPA-PSK (AES), WPA/WPA2 mixed PSK (AES) and WEP (128/64-bit). The Buffalo WSR-1166DHP2 will hit the market from mid September for around 10,000 Yen (about $83). [Product Page]
