Canon Unveils PowerShot SX420 IS Superzoom Digital Camera

Canon hits back with their new superzoom digital camera, the PowerShot SX420 IS. Designed to enhance the joy of shooting, this mid-range camera sports a 20MP 1.2.3″ CCD image sensor, a powerful 42x optical zoom lens (equivalent to 24-1008mm), a 3.0-inch 230k-dot LCD monitor, an SD/SDHC/SDXC card slot and built-in WiFi & NFC connectivity for easy sharing and transferring of images and videos to your smartphone or tablet.

Other notable features include Smart AUTO – intelligently selects the proper settings for the camera based on predefined shooting situations, Scene Modes – Fisheye Effect, Toy Camera Effect and Monochrome provide creative freedom to capture your photos, and ECO Mode – helps reduce power consumption for longer battery life.

Powered by Canon’s DIGIC 4+ image processor, the PowerShot SX420 IS can record 720p HD video @ 30fps. The Canon PowerShot SX420 IS is scheduled to be available in February 2016 for $299 in black and red color options. [Product Page]
