CherryPal Desktop, Green Cloud Computing

CherryPal Low Power Cloud Computing

If you have $249 to spare and you want to try out cloud computing, grab this CherryPal desktop computer.  It packs a 400MHz Freescale MPC5121e mobileGT processor, 256 MB RAM, 4GB NAND flash storage, and 802.11g Wi-Fi.  It consumes only 2 watts of power, and utilizes 80% fewer components than normal desktop computers.  It is definitely the easiest PC to use, not to mention the fact that it could last a decade or longer due to its non moving parts.  Of course with cloud computing you need to hook up to the cloud (which in this case is ran by Amazon) but this is definitely a great move towards better accessibility and green computing at the same time.  Ready later this month with 50GB of maximum storage to start with. Please come visit. I am excited about how the CherryPal can bridge barriers to people who have not had access to computers or the internet because of money, fear, education or other challenges.

I will be commenting on my experience of using it on my blog as soon as I get my own CherryPal C100!
