A Chinese website has showed us a screenshot of the character recognition software for the iPhone firmware 2.0. This interface is designed for finger use. It is capable of operating in both portrait and landscape modes. Unfortunately, it seems that Chinese is the one and only language supported so far. FYI, Apple was one of the pioneers in handwriting recognition technology with their Newton Personal Digital Assistant. [MacRumors]
