
Here’s the latest member to Corsair’s Extreme Series SSD line-up, the X256. This new 2.5-inch drive is based on Samsung’s MLC NAND flash memory and features a SATA 3.0 Gbps interface, a 64MB of cache memory, an Indilinx Barefoot controller, and provides maximum read and write speeds of 240MB/s and 170MB/s, respectively. The Corsair X256 SSD should become available soon for under $700. [Engadget]
