D-Link Boxee Box

D-Link and Boxee have showcased the Boxee Box that streams online and stored digital media to an HDTV. The device allows users to share playlists with friends on various social networking sites, including Twitter and Facebook. The Boxee Box also facilitates easy access to university courses, panel discussions, academic lectures, presentations and web-only videos. In addition to video content, Boxee users can access great music from sites like Pandora, last.fm, shoutcast, and We are Hunted as well as fun photos from sites like flickr, Picasa and the Facebook. Additional features include HDMI, Optical Digital Audio (S/PDIF), Composite, Ethernet Connector, 2 USB 2.0 ports, and an SD Card slot. The Boxee Box is expected to be released in Q2 2010 for about $200. Stay tuned for more updates. [D-Link]
