D-Link SharePort Technology

D-Link today introduced the new SharePort technology that allows users to share ordinary USB accessories on a home network by simply plugging them into a router. The new technology is currently available on D-Link’s 802.11n routers. You just need to upgrade the firmware to activate this feature. I think the SharePort technology will make our life easier. Do you agree with me? [DigitalTrends]

no, i do not agree, it works only with windows. MAC users can kiss them in their asses when they buy such a product, nothing more than windows only technology and applications.

I am looking at getting one of these, need a better wireless signal (my current AP can’t service half the house properly) and the Shareport tech sounds promising to share a printer and maybe some storage as a central backup location for all the PCs.

@Steve,
What did you expect from a MAC user :)

Having suffered through the forced use of MAC products I can clearly state that they are designed with idiots in mind. Even the simplest of tasks that can be acomplished with minimum fuss in windows requires you to be a keyboard gymnist on a MAC (print screen anyone? cut and paste files? etc.)

MAC is total fail unless you’re a clueless noob who doesn’t know any better. The only thing going for MACs is that they sure know how to make things all shiny and pretty :)
