
Dell today officially unveiled the Inspiron Mini 9. It is specifically designed to cater mobile internet lifestyle. Excellent for teens and travelers alike, the affordable Internet companion can be fine-tuned to fit their specific needs. Inspiron Mini features sealed keyboard and reliable 8 GB solid state drive (SSD) memory storage, 1 DDR RAM, a bright 8.9‑inch glossy LED display (1024×600), Built-in Webcam, bundled with Dell Video Chat, Built-in Bluetooth® for easy wireless connections to Bluetooth-enabled accessories like a pair of stereo headphones, a mouse, a printer, etc. Dell has also teamed up with Box.net to provide online storage with 2 GB basic plan, extendable up to 25 GB. The netbook is available in optional – Obsidian Black or Alpine White – and optional Windows® XP® or Ubuntu 8.04 with custom Dell interface (coming soon). The Inspiron Mini with Windows XP Home is available immediately starting at $399, while the Ubuntu version will retail slightly cheaper at $349.
