Dell today rolled out their new entry level LCD screens in the form of the 19-inch S1909WX and the 17-inch S1709W. Both LCDs provide 16:10 ratio, 1440×900 resolution and a detachable stand that allows users to use a VESA mount for display arms or walls. The Dell S1909WX boasts a 1,000:1 contrast ratio, 300cd/m2 brightness, with an HDCP-supporting DVI input providing video. Meanwhile the Dell S1709W features a VGA connector, a 600:1 contrast ratio and 250cd/m2 brightness for its smaller panel. The S1909WX retails for $199 and the S1709W is priced at only $179.
