A new multitouch tablet has entered the market, this time from DigitalRise called the X9. Powered by an Intel Atom N270 1.6GHz CPU, this portable device boasts a 10.2-inch 1024 x 600 TFT multitouch screen, an Intel GMA 950 GPU, a 2GB RAM, a 160GB hard drive, a 1.3MP camera, a 4-in-1 card reader, GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth, three USB 2.0 ports, a 3000mAh Li-ion battery, Windows 7 OS and supports WCDMA/TD-SCDMA/CDMA2000 3G connectivity. This looks like what the Apple Tablet will look like. Simple, not too much going on on the outside, but strong enough on the inside. Of course, with a hefty price tag. I’m still not convinced about these tablets. I’ll be getting a good ‘ole gaming laptop with Win7 for college… no exceptions.
