Some researchers at University of Tsukuba Japan are developing a Virtual Reality treadmill for patients who suffers from a stroke, etc. This dome shaped virtual reality walking system can accommodate a maximum of 80kg person for a walking speed 1 meter/sec with strides of 80 cms. The system also offers a viewing angle of 270 degrees horizontally and a 60 degrees vertically. Unfortunately, this new type of treadmill is not fully developed and is too expensive. Watch some videos after the jump to see what it’s like. [Newlaunches]
