Most scanners that promise to remove scratches or blemishes from photos will usually come bundled with included software like Photoshop to help you get the job done. The Epson Perfection V750-M Pro takes a bit of a different approach though. It will include the Digital ICE hardware and software technologies to correct all image defects all from within the scanner itself. An infrared sensor will be used in multiple passes to map out and remove dust and scratches for film negatives, while prints are scanned with two lamps at different angles to map out differences in shadows.
