The Epson PowerLite Home Cinema 6500UB is a 1080p LCD projector that features the latest 3LCD D7 chipset with UltraBlack technology. The projector adopts 12-bit 3LCD driver technology that allows for the reproduction of 68.72 billion colors. It also has a dynamic iris that can make adjustments up to 60 times per second. Other features include two HDMI 1.3a inputs, a VGA-type RGB input, a 2.1x zoom, 100 percent vertical and 50 percent horizontal lens shift, 22 dB noise level, a contrast ratio of 75,000:1 and a light output of 1,600 lumens. The 6500UB utilities Silicon Optix’s Reon-VX HQV processor to ensure the input signals from 480i to 1080p works perfectly. Sadly, this projector lacks of the anamorphic lens support, RS-232 port, and ISF certification. The Home Cinema 6500UB will be available later this month for $2,999.
