The FCC has approved the Sony Ericsson Z550 cell phone. Available in a brushed-metal finish, the Z550 features a 1.3MP digicam with 4x digital zoom. It also provides an FM radio receiver, along with a media player capable of handling MP3/AAC files. The Sony Ericsson Z550 is on target for a Q3 2006 release.
