The Forest Fire Clear Cut Robot is a concept robot to fight future forest fires. It has all the necessary tools to slice trees down to prevent the flames from spreading any further in the forest. The model has 600 parts and took its creator half a year to complete. [Gizmodo]

I am the Co designer on this independent study, the other version of the concept can be seen at coroflot.com/dbs2. Both Robots share many common parts, and were designed as a pair.
Hi… I’m 8 years old and after seeing this thing am not sure I’m going to be able to sleep tonight. Is this thing REAL? Does it really exist or is this some computer-generated image? If this is real, how is it powered and who controls it? I get that its supposed to help fight forest fires but its pretty scary looking and how do we know it will stay friendly? You can’t have some giant thing that gets all mad when it could possibly kill you… so please, tell me the truth, is this a joke or is it real?
