Freescale To Showcase Its New 7-Inch Smartbook Tablet

Freescale Semiconductor is set to showcase its new smartbook tablet at this week’s CES. Measuring 200mm x 128mm x 149mm and weighing 376 grams, this portable device is powered by a 1GHz ARM Cortex A8 i.MX515 processor and sports a 7-inch 1024 x 600 touchscreen display, a 512MB RAM, 4GB to 64GB of built-in storage, a microSD card slot, a 3-megapixel webcam, GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth, an optional 3G, SIM card support, a USB port, a 1900 mAh battery and runs on both Android and Linux operating systems. The Freescale 7-Inch Smartbook Tablet will become available this summer for an estimated price of $200.
