DXG Releases Budget 7.1MP Digicam

DXG from U.S. has introduced the DXG-711 digital camera that features a whopping 7.1 megapixels, retailing for a dirt cheap $149.99. The digicam sports a 2.5 inch display, 3x optical zoom, preset modes, 32MB of integrated memory, a voice recorder, and video recording capability.

Aigo GPS-P370 At CHITEC 2007

Aigo has rolled out its latest GPS navigation system. Known as the GPS-P370, the device comes with a 3.5 inch touchscreen LCD display, the SiRFStar III GPS chipset. It is actually powered by an ancient Freescale Dragonball 266MHz processor, something we won’t see in devices these days. Other features include 64MB of internal memory and an SD/MMC memory card slot for maps and storage purposes. There is no word on whether this will make it to the U.S. or Europe.

Korean company Narae released the Soban, a key chain sized super compact photo album. The gadget has 128MB onboard memory and a USB slot for loading up the pictures. According to the product’s website, the Soban can hold up up to 7000 images and has a battery life for up to 7 hours. Unfortunately, it can’t play videos. The Soban is currently available in Korea.

Palm Foleo Mobile Companion

Palm has introduced a laptop-like device called Foleo. Designed as a companion to a mobile phone, the 2.5-pound Palm Foleo offers a 10-inch screen with 1024×600 resolution, a full-size QWERTY keyboard, a USB port, video-out port, headphone jack, and slots for SD and compact flash cards for memory expansion. The Foleo utilities Linux operating system and provides applications including email, web browser, and editors or viewers for Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and PDF. The company also claims that Foleo’s battery life lasts up to 5 hours. The Foleo will be priced at $499 after an introductory $100 rebate.
