Yamaha’s newest speakers system, the Yamaha YSP-1100, is a new version of the Yamaha speakers with virtual 5.1. For now, the speakers come in 40 inch and 42 inch version, instead of 32 inch for the previous versions, and support the entire range of Dolby, DTS, Pro-Logic, etc. These speakers are also support an IntelliBeam feature to improve the sound depending on the room you install the speakers in. In addition, the Yamaha YSP-1100 outputs 120W (20Wx2 + 2Wx40).

Bored with your old iPod dock? So try this one! The Mi3005 iMove from Memorex supports an easy handle for carrying and offers 12W of power output at about 2.5% total harmonic distortion (THD). What’s more, iMove also features SRS WOW technology for enhancing the sound. Using this iPod dock, you can dock most of the iPods versions, including the Mini, Nano, iPod Photo and the newest iPod video. An audio line-in is provided to connect other MP3/CD players that you may have. The iMove runs on eight D-size batteries. It is currently available in black and white to complement your iPod, No word yet on pricing.

Bang & Olufsen unveiled the Serene, the company’s first cell phone for the North American market. Manufactured in association with Samsung, the B&O Serene is an elegant phone with an unusual one-step thumb operation. Bluetooth connectivity is available, along with an email client and usual support for SMS/MMS. Packed with B&O’s signature sound quality, Serene may have the best speakers in town. Moreover, this elegant phone also features speech recognition and comes with a circular keypad (reminiscent of my Nokia 3650) and a big 2.1 inch display at 320×240 pixel resolution and 262k colors. It is also equipped with a very basic VGA camera. No word on pricing yet.

Desperate Housewives: The Game, is a new computer game based on the TV show. It seems clearly that the target audiences for this game are women. In the Desperate Housewives game, you take on the role of a new housewife who moves into Wisteria Lane and unlocks the delicious scandals hidden in the seemingly “perfect” neighborhood. Mary Alice Young (voiced by Brenda Strong in the game) serves as the omniscient narrator in this lifestyle simulation game. Overall, it seems that if you like the Sims, so you will love Desperate Housewives. But the best part of the game though is that it retails pricetag for an average of US$19.

Hi-im International, Korean retailer of Urbantool, showed GrooveRider, which a T-shirt with buttons for iPod during KES 2006. According to the company, you can take control of iPod using the buttons on the clothes. The GrooveRider also has a pocket for iPod. Of course, you can wash it without any problem. But why we need this GrooveRider is we can easily pull our iPod from the pockets to change the music track? No word on pricing or availability yet.

Samsung Electronics unveiled its HSDPA compatible SGH-i520 smartphone at the Symbian Smartphone Show 2006. The SGH-i520 runs Symbian 9.2/ S60 3.1 with an interesting interface design. While detail specifications are still a mystery, it looks like the SGH-i520 will have touch sensitive buttons like LG chocolate phone. This 17.9mm thick i520 will have a bigger 2.3 inch LCD screen and support the upcoming HSDPA data connection.
