Rock Band Les Paul Patch Suppressed

Rock Band Les Paul Patch Suppressed

It has come to pass that the boys from Activision are putting legal pressure on Sony to keep them from releasing the patch that was supposed to release last week. The patch for EA & Harmonix’s Rock Band for PS3 was supposed to allow the Gibson Les Paul Guitar Controller for Guitar Hero III for PS3 to function with Rock Band.

Activision must really be pissed off at the whole idea of Rock Band because they’re doing everything to prevent compatibility with the game. Perhaps they don’t realize that this move won’t help them sell more copies of Guitar Hero III, rather it might just boost Rock Band peripheral sales, namely the Fender Stratocaster controllers for Rock Band.

Someone in their corporate brass must think this a good move, unfortunately nobody else does. Rock Band for PS3 goes for $170, and it’s well worth it.

The Shaper Image Digital Picture Frame does things that most other displays out there don’t. It’s also a weather station which gives you the indoor and outdoor temperatures, humidity, forecast, and even moon phase. It also comes with an alarm clock that sports a precise U.S. Atomic Clock. The best news is, you don’t have to use the scary picture of the kid if you don’t want to, you can use your own pictures.

Phantom Lapboard

Phantom Lapboard

The Phantom Lapboard is pretty handy for gamers or more relaxed users to sit back and use the keyboard and mouse while on the sofa. Priced at $130, it won’t damage your wallet too much this holiday season. However, there is one problem with Phantom’s new Lapboard peripheral… there’s no shipping date available yet. So supposedly it’s available for purchase, but with no said date, who knows when you’ll get it? Maybe Phantom can provide some insight to when they’re mysterious Lapboard will ship, but as of yet, no one else can.
