Mitsubishi this week has given a preview to Americans of some likely new HDTV sequels to its REAL TV line. The higher end MZW series will comprise a 46-inch LCD 1080p panel (LCD-46MZW200) and 40-inch LCD 1080p panel (LCD-40MZW200). MZW features Mitsubishi’s newer Diamond Engine Pro III technology to process video in 16-bit detail and reduce noise beyond performance from competitors. Both are full 1080p sets and boast 120Hz refresh rates that eliminate motion artifacts; plus four HDMI inputs with CEC compatibility and should ship October 21st at equivalent prices of $2,725 for the 40-inch MZW200 set and $3,634 for the 46-inch version. Lower-cost systems will also be available soon. The 37- and 42-inch MXW200 updates also produce 1080p but lack the 120Hz output, and will sell for $2,089 and $2,543 respectively.
