Sony Launches 50GB Blu-Ray

Sony Has Launches Their 50GB Blu-Ray

Sony Electronics launched their 50GB dual layer Blu-Ray disc in US this week. Each of the 50GB Blu-Ray is able store over four hours of High Definition quality video at a 24 Mbps transfer rate. The Sony 50GB dual layer Blu-Ray discs will be available for $48 each. The discs come with a special re-engineered AccuCORE technology that include a scratch guard, archival reliability to prevent data/image corruption and deterioration, stable writing that reduces fluctuation as the disc spins, and temperature durability to prevent warping during severe changes in temperature and humidity.
