
Gigabyte Taiwan announced that they have created the world’s first 3.5G GPS/AGPS wireless modem which they are displaying at CeBIT, Germany. Known as the MD800, the data card features a choice of three interfaces including Express card, mini USB, and PCMCIA. The device also sports 3.5G networks capability, GPS and A-GPS. The company also has the MS808 PDA phone which is claimed as the world’s first 3.5G mobile phone that supports for four mobile TV standards, including DVB-T, DVB-H, T-DMB and ISDB-T. [Electronista]
