Hitachi has proudly introduced the Ultrastar C10K300 6Gbps SAS HDD with a power consumption of only 3.1Watts in idle and 6.1Watts in operational mode. The device also features 64MB of buffer memory, a 10,000rpm speed for only 29dB. If you are interested, these hard drives will be available in 147GB and 300GB models. [Akihabara]
