Huawei hits back with a new water-resistant Android 7.0 tablet, the Honor WaterPlay. Adopting a unibody metal design (IP67-rated), this mid-range tablet has a 10.1-inch 1920 x 1200 QXGA display, an octa-core Kirin 659 (4 x A53 at 2.36GHz + 4 x A53 at 1.7GHz) processor, a MaliT830-MP2 GPU and a 3GB RAM with 32GB internal storage or 4GB RAM with 64GB of internal storage, expandable memory up to 256GB with microSD.

The tablet also packs a front-facing camera, an 8MP rear-facing camera, a fingerprint sensor embedded into the home button and built-in stereo speakers with Huawei Histen 3D audio technology & harman / kardon audio technology.

Powered by a 6660mAh battery with fast charging, the Honor WaterPlay provides 4G LTE (optional), dual-band WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.1 LE, GPS and USB Type-C for connectivity, and runs on Android 7.0 Nougat OS with EMUI 5.1 on top.

The Honor WaterPlay will begin shipping in China from October 24th for a starting price of 1,999 Yuan (about $303) for the WiFi version with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. [FoneArena]
