
HP introduced its new smartphone for the first time in Asia-Pacific region during HP Mobility Summit in Shanghai. Known as the HP iPAQ 512 Voice Messenger, the gadget was designed for business users. It offers a flexible wireless email experience through convenient voice control and hands-free operation. With its “voice reply†function, users can reply to email by dictating and sending a voice response, without the need for any typing. The iPAQ 512 sports VoIP capabilities with built-in Wi-Fi, “push” email, GSM/EDGE, and Bluetooth connectivity. The smartphone is also based on the new Windows Mobile 6 platform. The iPAQ 512 is expected to be available in Asian-Pacific market in May 2007.
